Many you reading this may already be familiar with one of our titles, which was only a few years available via our other website at Brianrobinsonstudios.com.
Those few issues were available for download in digital CBR and PDF format. Why are you doing actual actual comic books nowadays?
Well we are doing both digital versions, and actual comic books now.
We love digital comics and think they are they future of the comic industry, but at same time, we also love the idea of having our own printed comic books.
We love drawing comics and working with people who create comics.
Brian created The Incredible Amazing Five comic book, as way to allow him to draw all the things he loves to draw, in a actual comic book.
If you notice, some the characters are just homages and amalgams, of various semi popular comic and anime characters.
On the actual heroes names, Brian has mentioned he could not think of good names years ago, so gave them weird names like OOA and OOB and other weird code names.Later down road where he decided he would come up with better actual names.
At the time Brian didn't think his original comic books would be as popular online as they become..then again,he was offering a free CBR and PDF comic book available for download online. Hey, you can't beat free. ;)
As time went on, and The Incredible Amazing Five began selling well. Brian created the Pigtails and Whips comic book for similar reason, as a way to allow him to draw all the things he loves to draw.
If you haven't caught on from his covers displayed on this site, or know artist Brian Robinson, he has a thing for drawing woman with pigtails.
It is his favorite hair style on woman, and thinks it brings a unique beauty to woman who wears that hair style.So Brian basically created another comic book title, that allowed him to draw several super powered woman using whips and hair whips in pigtailed form.Basically a excuse to draw pigtailed woman all the time.. ;) .In addition to getting to draw them fighting monsters is a plus.
As you can clearly tell, with each passing issue that Brian's art improves a hundred fold. If you seen his current artwork, you would not even think it was the same person when compared to his artwork form 2-3 years ago. That is why Brian loves drawing and creating for these comics, because it has really made his artistic abilities increase. Now that BKR comics is publishing noth via comic books in paper form, as well as digital,hopefully we can gain even more fans as each individual comic series takes off, and improves with each issue.
